MS. ALICE THOMAS

a thomas.jpg

Alice Thomas was born on April 8, 1919 to the late George Howard and Elizabeth Cook Thomas. The second born, and oldest daughter, she is the last living sibling of six.

Miss Alice always enjoys sharing her love of family and friends.  She believes strongly in the ‘golden rule’,” do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

She lived in Washington, DC for more than 30 years where she was employed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Once retired, she returned home to Holly Grove (Silver Spring, MD) where she shared a home with her sister, Mable, and enjoyed hosting family and friends.  Her sister, Lorraine and family lived next door. Her nieces and nephews are a joy to her.

Although she has mobility limitations, she enjoys visits with family and friends, talking on the telephone, keeping up with the news and is “smart as a tack”. Her sense of humor is contagious.   She continues to be surrounded by love and care from family members and devoted friends.

Miss Alice Thomas passed away on April 28, 2021.
